Well, I’ve been writing this blog since February, so I’d call it a success so far. Previous attempts failed, but this time I have a few fans, and I think that’s what makes the difference. So, about me…
I’m a mom of 2 rambunctious boys, age 9 and 10, who are homeschooled by their grandmother, supplemented by myself and my husband. I recently became married to the man of my dreams. We’re having the wedding reception in September.
I like gaming: RPG’s (real-life and virtual), sim games (Civ, SimCity, etc.), scrabble, various board games.
I’m a lazy gourmet. I like cooking from scratch but more often I eat simply or eat out. I hate dishes.
I’m an aspiring writer, which means I’ve never written anything long enough to publish, but I get great ideas sometimes, and usually make it in few chapters before I lose my zest.
I am an avid reader and movie-watcher: science fiction, fantasy, non-fiction, good fiction… my favorite sub-genres involve time travel, apocalypse, post-apocalypse, and dystopian futures. I love plot twists. I also like books themselves… old books, beautiful books, book shelves…
I love to travel but I mostly only get to do it via business trips, which takes some of the fun out of it, since I’m usually alone.
I like philosophy, especially regarding ethics and moral dilemmas. I enjoy psychological experiments and how the human mind works. I’m an ethical atheist.
I’m always half-heartedly trying to eat more healthily and exercise, and someday I’ll even quit smoking.
I’m not very political.

My Online Presence:

Hang in there. So far, you’ve posted some interesting stuff.
Brian
apparently i’m a character in one of your stories. lol. i recently did a google search for my name and this blog came up. I read some of your stuff, very interesting. I like how you enjoy philosophy, we may have to chat one day, i was a philosophy major in college.
anyways, i was just interested in how you came about the character name of “john koht” that’s a random and almost nonexistent name (except me, of course).
thanks,
john koht
John… I don’t actually recall how I came up with Koht. John is a pretty generic name, so it works for most situations. I think I probably flipped through a book and landed on Koht. Something random certainly. I think if you did enough digging you would find there are a plethora of John Koht’s in the world.
